Published: 14 July 2015 We are pleased to report on the latest digital development to leading private healthcare client Kent Institute of Medicine and Surgery (KIMS).

KIMS, located in Maidstone, Kent is the largest independent hospital in Kent. With 99 beds, five theatres, two endoscopy suites and two interventional labs, KIMS has been designed to provide first class healthcare for the Kent community.

Since opening its doors in 2013, KIMS has strived to push digital boundaries with an ever-growing digital presence and this continues to gain in momentum.

In its most recent phase, our dedicated team have implemented a number of digital developments to make the KIMS website easier to navigate and highlight the hospitals specialisms, treatments and consultants.

Recent developments within the site include the introduction of a freshly designed website header, footer and helpful menu allowing visitors to the site to swiftly and simply find exactly what they are looking for with direct patient calls to action and contextual feature highlights.

Storytelling within the homepage content and design has been completely rethought, highlighting the hospital's pioneering services such as keyhole surgery with treatment specialism landing pages being created positioning KIMS as a world class leading centre of healthcare excellence.

In a development for the healthcare industry, visitors to the KIMS website are presented with an off canvas, full screen immersive and engaging experience which clearly communicates key patient information, news and content.

Specific treatments are now searchable within the site allowing the visitor to see everything they could want or need to know from detailed information about the treatment including how to arrange a treatment, payment, pricing packages and the consultants that perform the treatments within the hospital.

The site also new contains a ‘super search’, which is unique to KIMS. Patients are able to search a healthcare problem, symptom or any term relating the to hospitals services using the upper search tool and results will be returned covering treatment and specialisms, news and consultants that are linked to the particular search term in clearly defined sections. This allows KIMS to offer excellent messaging and customer experience.

The design, development and digital team continue to provide progressive development to the KIMS team, ensuring that this industry leading healthcare centre of excellence has a dynamic digital presence!
