We are an award winning and growing digital marketing agency based in Ashford, Kent, and with smart offices in London (Shoreditch).

We are looking for an experienced web developer to join a dedicated team working on a web a mix of different sites, from Travel to Healthcare and lots of other in between.

You will be working closely with our clients, with the support and backing of your own Project Manager and Account Manager, and a team of very experienced developers in both our London and Ashford office.

the day to day

Ideally you will have built websites from scratch and you will need to have good bug fixing experience and be able to work independently to identify and resolve issues before delivery and testing functionality after the initial fix.

You will have the support and collective knowledge of a really good technical team across the company – we do regular group and individual training and formal knowledge sharing.

You will have autonomy, and as you are working remotely from some of your team you will need to be able to work using your own initiative and be comfortable working to tight deadlines as the agency world is highly commercial.

You will need good time management skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively is  really important, obviously along with good coding skills.

This role also requires good verbal and written communication skills as you will be expected to communicate with remote teams and the clients on occasion.

personal attributes

  • Good and effective communication skills with the ability to communicate professional with external clients in understandable (non-technical) terms
  • Able to multi task and maintain great attention to detail, and able to prioritise, manage own time,  to proactively seek solutions and able to function in a relatively pressurised environment
  • You should be able to work in a standalone capacity and be comfortable being managed remotely for some of the week
  • It is important that you love what you do and want to develop your own skills – you must be innovative and keen to influence and drive both the delivery of great projects but also the continued growth of the company

technical skills

  • A sound knowledge of HTML5 / CSS / JavaScript (including JQuery)
  • Good cross browser testing and development experience.
  • Knowledge of CSS preprocessor SASS and Compass.
  • Knowledge of animation library – preferable GSAP
  • CSS framework  - Bootstrap 3
  • Ajax
  • Git and Gitflow
  • Bit Bucket
  • Visual Studio would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of google maps JS API
  • JIRA and / or Trello
