When it comes to a new release such like Instagram Ads, in the UK we usually have to wait for the channel to roll out the update slowly, gradually making it available to all users. Thus when hearing the news about Pinterest rolling out Ads to the UK we got excited, until… We realised that we may not even be able to begin using them yet!

After some research, setting up our very own, and FIRST Pinterest business account we can confirm it appears the promoted pin is available to everyone, all over the UK now, and is simple to do.


Having only launched today with big brands including John Lewis, B&Q, Nestlé and Tesco it is inevitable people have worries, as always with updates and changes. One big worry being pins will now take over, and disrupt a user’s experience.

This is not the case.

Pinterest stating that more than 75% of all pins saved come from businesses, say that Promoted Pins will not interrupt pinners.

As it stands, currently Promoted Pins are only available in the US and UK. Pinterest plans to open this up to more English-speaking markets in the latter half of 2016.
