RIFT provides taxation services where to anyone who ‘drives their own vehicle to a temporary place of work’ - 'tax refunds are made easy'. They invited Sagittarius to develop a marketing strategy to help increase conversions online.
RIFT set Sagittarius an ambitious target to generate 2,000 additional conversions from an untapped market. The brief was to refresh their previous website by reviewing the key messaging, user journey, design and overall digital functionality.
To achieve RIFT's goal, Sagittarius profiled specific audiences to communicate bespoke messages both on and offline. The communication strategy focussed primarily on construction workers ability to increase income with a few hours spent completing tax paperwork.
In addition the site needed to be relevant to employers as well as individuals in other professions. The key feature of the website is an easy to use ‘Refund Estimator’ designed to calculate how much they could be entitled to.
To complement the new digital offering, Sagittarius offered added-value website support. RIFT, in turn, have been given the flexibility to populate their own content through the Sagittarius Content Management System. The ongoing online marketing strategy involves six months' full PPC/SEO and consultancy. RIFT's offline toolkit will include, targeted press advertising and PR; sponsorship and an eNewsletter - all in the concerted effort to make refunds less taxing!
