Protect your business. Protect your clients’ data.
In light of the 2018 GDPR rulings, Sagittarius have created a data tool to allow full GDPR compliance on the Sitecore platform.
What is GDPR?
The biggest change to data compliance in 20 years, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into force in 2018. The regulations required businesses to be more transparent with their handling of personal data and allow users to opt out or anonymise their information. Great news for individuals but potentially problematic for businesses.
Sitecore 9 and Existing Compliancy
Sitecore XP 9 incorporates a number of privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles and a host of new features. These include support for anonymising data, the ability to annotate data and treat data as sensitive. However, it doesn’t currently have the ability to erase or export Personally Identifiable Information (PII) which means this information will still need to be managed via a bespoke GDPR interface or a CRM system.
In light of the regulations, we have developed an exclusive solution to support customers with their GDPR challenges.
Sagittarius GDPR User Data Tool
The fully compliant tool creates a new button within the Sitecore Launchpad that allows brands to extract PII data that is stored in the xDB and anonymise user data where requested. This tool is available with Sitecore 8, 9 and 9.1.
Thinking about upgrading to Sitecore 9.2 or installing the Sagittarius GDPR User Data Tool? This tool is available to existing clients and those already using the platform versions 8 and 9.
