Cystic Fibrosis Trust works towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition as well as their loved ones.

Already on the Sitecore development platform, CFT engaged with Sagittarius to develop a personalisation strategy that would help them better target their diverse audiences.


The biggest challenge for CFT was that they have very different audiences about a delicate subject. 

The charity's audiences types were identified as:

  • Cystic Fibrosis suffers
  • Cystic Fibrosis Families
  • A parent of a newly diagnosed child
  • The general public not related to a suffer
  • Someone looking to donate or get involved in an event
  • Industry professionals, carers, clinicians and researchers



Utilising Sitecore 8, Sagittarius completed an SBOS workshop for CFT which identified their audience's profiles and personas as well as the goals and audience engagements they wanted to achieve.

Following these workshops, our team then took to implementing the personalisation strategy.
