Cystic Fibrosis Trust works towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones.

Already on the Sitecore development platform, Cystic Fibrosis Trust engaged with Sagittarius to develop a personalisation strategy for their digital audiences.


The biggest challenge for CFT was that they have very different audiences they need to talk to in different ways, often have delicate subjects. 

The charity's audiences types were identified as:

  • Cystic Fibrosis suffers
  • Cystic Fibrosis Families
  • A parent of a newly diagnosed child
  • The general public not related to a suffer
  • Someone looking to donate or get involved in an event
  • Industry professionals, carers, clinicians and researchers



Utilising the existing Sitecore 8 platform, Sagittarius firstly completed an SBOS workshop which identified the charities marketing profiles, personas and the goals and audience engagements Cystic Fibrosis Trust wanted to achieve.

Following the workshops which took place across a number of weeks, a personalisation implementation plan was developed to target the different audiences identified.


We are still on the journey with Cystic Fibrosis Trust and working with them on this exciting Sitecore personalisation project.
