5 Tips for Getting the Most Value From Your Digital Agency

Having worked in both agency and client-side roles, I think I have a pretty balanced view of what makes a great partnership. So, for current and future clients – here are my top tips for maximising the value of your partnership with any digital agency:

1. Define your goals and objectives

It is important to communicate your strategic goals and any personal or team goals. This will ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives. Do you want to grow revenue? Promote sustainability? Be a thought leader? Become more Agile? Even if something may not seem relevant to your digital partner at first, it is worth letting them know as it will provide focus and direction. 

2. Share your challenges

If you encounter any obstacles or challenges in your role, such as difficulty obtaining stakeholder buy-in or disagreements with your local technical team, it’s worth discussing these with your digital agency. We may be able to provide you with information or tools to help you overcome these issues. 

3. Be transparent about your budget

Transparency is key when it comes to budget. Both you and your agency want to avoid wasting time on proposals that are just not feasible. By being open and honest about your budget, we can propose the best strategy to maximise your ROI. This may include targeting specific customer segments or business challenges, or it could include cost-saving recommendations in your tech stack. 4. Be open to new ideas and approaches

This ensures that both parties have a common understanding and remain focused on delivering the project or programme goals. We can help you define these by breaking down your objectives. Or do you need to increase revenue from your e-commerce site – let’s measure how we are increasing traffic and reducing cart abandonments.
