IFS’s website had served the company for 15 years, but by 2022 it no longer met the organisation’s modern business requirements. IFS wanted to develop a new website that could utilise various advanced digital marketing tools such as multivariate testing, website personalisation and marketing automation to boost visitor engagement and strengthen client retention rates. Sagittarius implemented Sitecore 10.2 using SXA as the perfect platform and delivered the new site in just 4 months.

The Brief

The existing IFS website had served the company for 15 years, but it no longer met the organisation’s modern business requirements. IFS wanted to develop a new website built on a modern, responsive, and flexible platform that would integrate well with an array of 3rd party systems. The website needed to engage customers through exceptional CX and UX, which would become the central platform for marketing and commercial activities.

Due to the size of the company, the number of web content editors, and the sheer amount of data stored on their existing website (thousands + of pages), the redevelopment would be a vast undertaking requiring the use of world-class technologies combined with a robust execution strategy. 

IFS’s vast number of assets, including brochures, whitepapers and case studies, is a crucial lead generation tool. Improving access to these by streamlining the customer journey was a vital objective of the project. An intelligent menu navigation design was essential for providing customers easy access to the information they value the most.

In addition to improving access to assets, the project also aimed to:

  • Achieve more overall website traffic and rankings than competitors
  • Better website performance, including page load speed
  • Increase the overall SEO performance

The Solution

Having reviewed the client requirements thoroughly, we recognised Sitecore 10.2 using SXA as the perfect platform for IFS. The solution offers a wide range of advanced digital marketing tools such as multivariate testing, website personalisation and marketing automation, which is used to boost visitor engagement, strengthen client retention rates, and generate more leads. IFS also benefited from the roll-out of Solr Search for a cost-effective, better search performance for their customers. We have included important multilingual variant functionality in catering to IFS’s sizeable global client base. 

Since launch, the site’s impressions in search have shot up by 30% and there has been a significant improvement in non-branded search terms – something which IFS did not rank well for prior to the site upgrade. This is not only a great result for the business, but for the customers too who are getting easier access to find out about IFS’ product portfolio.

As well as an increase in traffic from search, the customers are now finding and downloading more assets than ever before – we have seen an impressive 329% increase in traffic to assets on the site, and a 40% increase in goal completions. IFS customers are now able to find the information they need faster than ever before – through the customer journey enhancements and the slick new navigation menu.

And all of this was delivered in record time – the project took just 4 months to complete!
